About Dominic de Souza
Hi, I’m Dominic, a designer, storyteller, and freedom-seeker who lost everything when I left a doomsday cult, lost my health, developed ADHD, and created a career purely from grit and the relentless pursuit of excellence.
Today, I’ve built a life rooted in creativity, curiosity, and remote work. In 2025, I launched a blog and YouTube channel as a way of sharing what I’ve learned: that the freer you are—in your mind, your work, and your life—the better you can be as a person to serve your goals. With insights from my journey—born in New Zealand, raised in Australia, studied in Fiji and France, and now living in the USA—I want to build a legacy where I help others find their freedom.
I am a universalist, and a completely secular man who believes Jesus rose from the dead, and is trying to figure out how to live with that.
Geeks over epics, mystics, science, the angelic, & movies.
I am riveted by the frontier between faith, science, and history. I converted from radical Catholic traditionalist doomsday cult through archaeology, mysticism, and fiction. That led me to quantum physics, psychoanalysis and mythology, evolution and angels, and the gift of the Holy Father Pope Francis. Below I’ve broken out some of the topics I am always reading, learning about, or watching movies on. The research lists are authors I appreciate and/or am wrestling with. I believe it’s important to read widely, from all sides, and to celebrate the good, true, and beautiful wherever it is found.
